Fighting Satan

In Psalm 144:1 David says, “Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight”. The Bible tells us that satan roams about seeking whom he will destroy. Many people are intimidated by satan and just allow him to run rough-shod over them. They don’t understand that as children of God, they have power and authority over satan. What is the authority and power that we have? It’s the Word of God! His Word is the weapons of our warfare, and these weapons are not carnal, but very mighty!

So what do we do with these mighty weapons of mass destruction? We use them often. In every situation of trouble, confusion, depression, anger, loss, fear, hatred and distress, we pray and stand firm against the onslaught of satan. We put on God’s whole armor, tightening our belt of truth around our loins, and we put on the breastplate of integrity. We make sure our feet are shod with the preparation of theGospel of peace, and we lift up our shield of faith with which every fiery dart of satan is quenched. We have the helmet of salvation and our sword, which is the Word of God! We pray unceasingly in the Spirit with all manner of prayer, alertly interceding for all saints!!

Saints, satan cannot withstand you when you are properly prepared for battle, and are steadfast. satan is defeated, and you already are victorious!! Praise the Lord!!
